Drake at 6 Months

                                           

 

Drake turned 6 months old on February 1st!  I'm more than a little late with this post, but I figure it better late than never!

• Drake is almost crawling!! He gets upon all fours and rocks back and forward. He can crawl backwards but is still working on going forward!
• He LOVES to eat baby food and would just totally forget about his bottle if he could! He eats rice cereal and fruit at breakfast, a 4 oz bottle for a snack, 2 baby veggies for lunch, a  4 oz bottle for an afternoon snack, oatmeal and a banana or applesauce, or baby yogurt for supper and an 8 oz bottle before bed. Since he is on the low end for his formula intake he eats cereal and oatmeal with added DHA and some baby food with DHA to make sure he is getting enough.
• He is best friends with Skinner and is very interested in his toys. Skinner is not a fan of that and carries all his bones and ball (4 bones and 1 ball) with him wherever he goes to make sure Drake does not get them.
• After a few rough months with sleeping, we are finally on the right track. He has been doing great and figuring out how to put his paci in if he loses it during the night. He has also learned how to go back asleep without his momma holding him!
• He loves his bath and would stay in until the water was freezing cold if it was up to him. He likes to eat his toes in the bath and usually ends up with a mouth full of water. He just smiles and spits it out.
• Watch out if Drake does not get what he wants because you will most likely be met by a big scream! Our sweet baby also has a big boy attitude at times!

You are such a fun little guy. You make us laugh with all your funny tricks and we cherish those snuggles that are becoming more and more rare! You  have given us the greatest 6 months of our life and we can't wait to see what the future holds for our sweet little man!
