A Night at the Circus

You see that face right there? That is the face of a kid who is excited out of his mind to be at the circus. He had a great time-and quite honestly, I did too!

Drake and I invited my parents to join us for a night of fun, magic, and animals. The cool thing about Barnum Bash,  is that an hour before the show starts, the audience is invited to go down to the arena floor and see some circus acts up close. Drake was wide-eyed as he took in all the circus had to offer. We even got to go back-stage and see the different circus animals. Talk about cool!

The show itself was a mixture of dancing horses, acrobats, clowns, elephants, stunts, dogs doing tricks, and super human powers. The show was about 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission. Drake loved all of the acts but his face lit up extra bright when there were animals involved.

We had great seats and felt like we were right in the middle of all the action!

I will be honest, the circus was not the same circus I grew up attending- the big 3-ring, ringmaster, multiple tigers circus.  BUT, with that being said, it was perfect for little kids.  There was less to focus on and the smaller atmosphere made for a more up-close experience, making you feel like you were really part of the show. My parents and I enjoyed the show too, but we really enjoyed watching Drake and seeing his excitement the most. We had a great time and hope the circus will be back next year so we can take both boys!

A circus and popcorn. What more could a boy ask for? Looks like Papa enjoyed himself as well ;)

And guess what? The show is town until Sunday so you still have time to see it before it is gone!

You can buy tickets at all Dahl’s Foods Locations, www.dahlstickets.com, 866-55-DAHLS, and the Wells Fargo Arena Box Office.

Disclaimer: I was provided with complimentary tickets to attend the show in exchange for help in promoting the show.
