In honor of the Iowa caucus taking place tonight, I thought I would share this video that I just fell in love with. Every 4 years Iowa is thrust into the spotlight and many things, some kind and some unkind, are said about my state but I think this video says it best!

Mandey Hearts Mapleton

Two weekends in a row the country has been rocked by devastating tornadoes. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone who lost loved ones, homes, and life as they know it in the storms this weekend!


Last weekend several communities in Iowa were hit by powerful and destructive tornadoes. Luckily, no lives were lost but communities were torn to pieces. One of the communities that was hardest hit was Mapleton, Iowa. Mapleton is the hometown to a my friend and fellow blogger Mandey from Mama and the Dudes. Mandey currently lives in California but wants to help her hometown out so she is holding a fundraiser on her blog with a giveaway of awesome prizes for people who donate. One of her prizes is a wreath from my store Sassy Silly Spunky Designs.
